Behind the Brain

Bugfixing: The painful way

Wow this was the greatest 'omg you are stupid' moment in my life. I was coding on a WPF application and wondered why I got strange error messages while debugging. Something like "The version of the clr.dll does not match the version the "mscordacwks.dll" was built for". And this: O.o - smiley matches almost exactly the look on my face when I read this. This kept happening after rebuilding and even with simple 'Hello World' applications. I guess you can imagine my frustration...

Long story short: You should not try to compile something while the .NET framework is being updated by Windows Update. *duh*
