Cheap RAM, Mainboards, and CPUs
If you want to buy hardware: Wait a week.
I ordered a replacement for my broken CPU. And with it a mainboard and RAM. And as my experience shows the prices will drop the next week...
Yes I know bad timing for a replacement since the new Bulldozer is about to be released. But I doubt that Bulldozer will influence the prices of a Phenom II X4 905e since it's an energy saver ;) Oh and in case you wonder: I ordered 8 GB DDR3 1066MHz and an Asus M4A79XTD Evo. All together for 250€ which is pretty ok. I know that I could have saved ten or twenty euros if I'd take an AsRock mainboard and an Athlon instead of a phenom. Well I was always very satisfied with Asus mainboards and I know they are good so I won't switch to AsRock (yes I know they are more or less the same but there was a difference of about 5 euros) And the phenom is slightly faster.
Well after all I think I bought a too big PSU last year ^^
I'll do an experiment when the hardware arrives: I won't reinstall windows in the first place and see what happens :D
